General Membership Meeting

“Care Can’t Wait” Legislative Lobby May 25-28, 2026.

Unifor Health Care workers will be meeting directly with Members of Provincial Parliament to advocate for the changes our health care system desperately needs. Their stories are the most powerful tool we have—let’s use them to shape the future of care in this province. 

May 28, 2026, Queen’s Park Rally

Unifor members will be joining other Unions in the Ontario Health Coalition Rally in Toronto to protect our public hospitals. This is part of the “Fill the Train Campaign”.

Family Fun Day

A reminder, that registration for this year’s Family Fun Day at East Park London, closes at the end of the week: May 29th, 2026.

 

National Indigenous History Month

June is National Indigenous History Month in Canada, a time to recognize the rich history, heritage, and diversity of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis. s National Indigenous History Month in

National Indigenous Day-June 21, 2026.

National Indigenous Peoples Day takes place on the summer solstice, the longest day of the year. For generations, many First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities have celebrated their cultures, languages, and traditions at this time of year. The summer solstice holds deep spiritual and cultural significance for many Indigenous Peoples, marking a time of renewal, connection, and celebration.

London Pride 2026

This year the London Pride Parade is being held on Sunday July 19th, 2026. The Local will be holding meetings for this event on the second Wednesday of each month at 5:30pm. Light refreshments will be provided. Next meeting is June 10th, 2026.

Scholarships
The annual Scholarships for Unifor Local 302 members and their family are being accepted now. Every year we offer 5-$1000.00 scholarships to our members entering an education program and to their family members that are entering post-secondary education programs. Please contact Maeda at the office for a registration form (519) 951-0302. We will be accepting applications until end of day on June 26th, 2026.

Bob White Charity Classic

The 19th annual Bob White Charity Classic golf tournament will take place on Monday August 17th, 2026, at the Craigowan Golf Club, located at #595838 Hwy 59 North, RR #6, Woodstock, Ontario. Shotgun starts at 9:00am sharp.

Women’s Conference and Health Care Conference

At the next General Membership meeting, June 22nd, 2026, we will be holding nominations and elections for both the Women’s Conference, October 4-7, 2026, and the Health Care Conference, October 16-18, 2026.
